Attorneys

Kalpana Peddibhotla is the founder and principal of the firm and
practices immigration and nationality law exclusively. Her practice areas include employment and family-based petitions, naturalization,
asylum and deportation defense, and appeals. Prior to launching her own law practice, Kalpana represented individuals
and companies in complex business disputes for two prominent Silicon Valley law firms, while maintaining a substantial pro
bono practice on the side. Kalpana has always believed in immigrant rights and advocacy. Providing
competent and cost-effective representation to local immigrant communities has become her mission and prompted her to launch
her own law firm in 2005. Kalpana continues to maintain her community and local involvement through various
pro bono projects and activities. Kalpana’s past contributions include serving as a volunteer attorney with Catholic
Charities, the Muslim Community Association, the American Civil Liberties Union, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited
Children. She also established the India Community Center’s volunteer program as its first Volunteer Services
Director. In addition, Kalpana is actively engaged with various local and national bar associations. Last year,
Kalpana served as the program co-chair for the North American South Asian Bar Association (NASABA) Annual Conference, and
currently serves on the Executive Board of the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Kalpana is a graduate of Chicago Kent College of Law (1998) and UC Berkeley (1988). She is admitted to
practice before the California Supreme Court, the Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal District Court. Yasmeen Aidinejad Of Counsel

With nearly a decade of experience, Yasmeen brings unique skills and
plenty of perspective to the practice. Over the years, Yasmeen has represented individuals in criminal proceedings, learned
the inner workings of the American court system as a judicial law clerk, and counseled numerous individuals and companies
in commercial disputes for a boutique intellectual property law firm in Seattle, Washington. In 2005, Yasmeen
joined a Washington D.C.-based non-governmental organization that advocates for the rights of religious minorities in the
Middle East. Yasmeen’s advocacy work involves a variety of cutting edge immigration issues with some of the nation’s
leading advocacy groups and key government agencies. In 2007, Yasmeen joined the Law Office of Kalpana V.
Peddibhotla as Of Counsel. Adding private practice to the mix, Yasmeen believes she has the best of both worlds. Having moved
to the United States as a teenager, Yasmeen is no stranger to immigration law. She has personally felt the effects of restrictive
immigration laws and has had her fair share of hurdles along the way. In her last year of law school, Yasmeen succeeded in
arguing her own gender-based asylum case against very difficult odds. Yasmeen believes that having walked in her clients’
shoes makes her a better counselor. “A green card is not just a license to live and work in the U.S., it is a pathway
to hope and a new home. No one knows that better than me.”
Yasmeen holds a law degree from Chicago-Kent
College of Law-Illinois Institute of Technology (1998) and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biophysics from
Oregon State University (1992). She is licensed to practice law in Washington State and in the District of Columbia.
She is fluent in Farsi.
